Nationals Grand Finale Showdown Rules

ELIGIBILITY

• Applies to Solo and Duo/Trio routines in each age division: Mini, Petite, Junior, Teen, and Senior.
• Dancers must be registered at the Intermediate or Elite level.
  • Exception: Novice solos and duo/trios are eligible in the Mini, Petite and Junior divisions only.
• Qualification is based on Overall High Point results:
  • Intermediate/Elite Solos: Top 5 dancers per age division advance.
  • Intermediate/Elite Duo/Trios: Top 3 routines per age division advance.
  • Novice Solos (Mini/Petite/Junior only): Top 3 dancers advance.
  • Novice Duo/Trios (Mini/Petite/Junior only): Top 3 routines advance.

RULES

• Routines must place in the Overall High Point to be eligible for the Showdown.
• No routine substitutions or replacements are permitted.
• For Intermediate and Elite divisions:
  • A minimum of 3 solo entries or 3 duo/trio entries is REQUIRED in the division for eligibility.
• Novice entries require a minimum number of 3 solo & duo/trio entries in the division.
• Duo/Trios from the same studio must include at least one different dancer to be eligible for the Showdown as separate entries.
• A maximum of two solos from the same studio may advance to the Showdown.

**AWARDS PRESENTATION

• Top 5: We will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, followed by two runners-up.
• Top 3: We will announce 1st place and two runners-up.

AWARDS

•  $200 Credit Top Scoring Showdown Soloist
•  $300 Credit Top Scoring Showdown Duo/Trio

**ONLY Intermediate/Elite routines are eligible for Credit$$

ELIGIBILITY

– Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines from each division (Mini, Petite, Junior, Teen, Senior)

– Novice, Intermediate, Elite Entries

– Top 5 Entries

• All Production routines, regardless of level, will compete against one another in the Production Showdown.

RULES

– No duplication of studio entries in each category.

– No replacements or substitutions of performers.

– No group replacements.

PRODUCTIONS:

• Each studio may be represented only once per age category—no duplicate studio entries within the same age group.
• The highest-scoring Production routine from each studio, per age category, will advance to perform in the Showdown.

**GROUP/PRODUCTION AWARDS PRESENTATION

• Top 5: We will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, followed by two runners-up.
• Top 4: We will announce 1st and 2nd place, followed by two runners-up.
• Top 3: We will announce 1st place and two runners-up.
• Top 2: We will announce 1st place and one runner-up.

EXCEPTIONS

• A routine may still compete in the Showdown with fewer dancers than originally performed in the first round, provided the reduction is due to injury or emergency and does not result in a change to the group size classification (e.g., from Large Group to Small Group).
• Studios may have more than one group qualify in the same age division and category (e.g., Small Groups or Large Groups/Lines) only if each group consists of an entirely different set of dancers.

If dancers overlap, only the highest-scoring group from that studio may advance in that category.

• $500 Credit 1st Place Showdown Large Groups
• $750 Credit 1st Place Showdown Line Groups
• $900 Credit Top Productions

**All Groups & Productions Must have 5 routines in their category for  Showdown to receive Credit$$

• Awards will be presented to:
  • Top Production (Ages 12 & Under)
  • Top Production (Ages 13 & Up)
